Mumps is a contagious viral infection affecting the parotid glands, spreading via respiratory droplets. 

Symptoms 

✔ Swollen glands, fever, muscle pain, headache

Complications 

Brain infections, hearing loss, testicular/ovarian swelling 

Treatment 

• Pain relief, hydration, rest 

• Saltwater gargles, soft foods
